Pictured here, the new SignalBoost Pro is a dual-band repeater which works with all carriers (except Nextel). It plugs into a USB port, which makes it exceptionally portable. It’s ideal for a small office environment. Wilson are also releasing an in-car version, the 801241, which likewise uses a USB port.

The SignalBoost Pro comes with a high-gain antenna. More technical specifications will be available very soon. It is expected to be released in the 2nd quarter of 2008 and we are looking forward to featuring it here at RepeaterStore.com.

This week, RepeaterStore.com attended CTIA Wireless 2008 in Las Vegas. The conference featured over 1,200 exhibitors encompassing all aspects of the wireless industry. Needless to say, our eyes were fixed firmly on the cellular repeaters.

Over the course of the 3-day conference, we met many of our current suppliers (Wilson Electronics, Wi-Ex, Digital Antenna) and others we are planning to add to our store in the very near future (Shyam, Cell Ranger, and more). We discussed the current repeaters on the market, as well as some new products manufacturers are releasing this year.

The following posts will expand on the new products we saw. We’ve taken some photos and we hope you enjoy this glimpse at CTIA Wireless 2008!

Worldwide Mobile Phone Frequency Database

Wednesday, March 12th, 2008

Globe

In collaboration with Repeaterstore.eu, our European based sister company, Repeaterstore is proud to announce a new database of worldwide mobile phone frequency information. Now anyone around the world can easily find a suitable repeater to boost their mobile phone signal!

The database has aggregated information on over 200 countries around the world and transformed it into a very simple to use interface. To use the database, you simply select the country you are located in, then select the Service Provider that your mobile phone uses. The database can tell you what frequency that Service Provider operates their network on and will link you directly to the repeaters we have that work on those frequencies.

Try it out

Side Note: In the US, the licensed cell phone frequencies are 800/850MHz and 1900MHz, and all US networks operate somewhere within these bands. For most of the rest of the world however, the Mobile Phone Networks operate on the 900MHz & 1800MHz frequency bands and repeaters must be made especially for those frequencies. You can find these 900/1800MHz repeaters at RepeaterStore.eu. For standard US 800/1900MHz Repeaters try our Top Cell Phone Repeaters on Repeaterstore.com

Wilson SignalBoost DT delayed until December 21st

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Wilson had originally informed us that their new SignalBoost DT product would be available December 15th, but this has now been revised to December 21st. The release of the sleek new desktop repeater kit has been highly anticipated as it positions Wilson to compete directly with the Wi-Ex zBoost products, particularly the zBoost YX-510, which has dominated the budget repeater market.

We hope to have a unit in our hands for testing as soon as possible. You’ll find our preliminary thoughts and a full product review (once it’s available) on our Wilson Signalboost DT review page.

You will be able to star pre-ordering at the Wilson SignalBoost DT product page as soon as we have confirmation from Wilson as to what quantity will be included in our first shipment.

Update: It turns out that the delay was cancelled. We now have the Wilson SignalBoost DT available for immediate shipping.

3 New Wilson Kits - 801212, 801213, SignalBoost 801214

Tuesday, November 13th, 2007

Wilson have just released three new in-car Wilson kits: two based on the wireless Wilson 801201 Amplifiers, and one based on the direct connect Wilson SignalBoost 801201. Take advantage of their new low pricing and our free shipping offer for a great deal.

Wilson SignalBoost 801214 Direct Connect Kit with Cradle

The new Wilson SignalBoost 801214 Kit includes the standard Wilson SignalBoost 801201 packaged with a Wilson 301103 Magnetic Mount Antenna and Wilson 301146 Phone Cradle. The SignalBoost 801214 is intended for use as an in-car direct connect unit that patches to your phone through the phone cradle.

Wilson 801212 In-Car Wireless Kit

The Wilson 801212 Kit includes the 801201 Vehicle Wireless Amplifier along with a Wilson 301103 Magnetic Mount Antenna for the exterior of the vehicle and a low profile antenna for rebroadcasting signal inside. The kit also includes a velcro patch for direct-connect operation.

Wilson 801213 In-Car Wireless Kit with Cradle

The Wilson 801213 Kit is exactly the same as the Wilson 801212 Kit, except it replaces the in-vehicle low-profile antenna with a phone cradle. This kit will only work when the phone is sitting in the included cradle, and is more powerful and expensive than the SignalBoost 801214 Kit but does not include the universal velcro adapter.
