Wilson Signalboost DT ships with new Desk Top Antenna

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

The Wilson 801247 Signalboost DT is a dual band amplifier kit designed for home/office use. The kit is a full repeater kit, and can provide 1-2 rooms of coverage.

The Wilson Signalboost DT, designed as a cost effective, dual-band desktop solution, has been upgraded with a higher performing directional antenna! This new antenna (#301208) is a small, sharp looking desktop antenna that offers better performance than the previous whip antenna.

This new directional antenna is now shipping on all Signalboost Desktop DT amplifier kits.

We’ve tested it and it works well with AT&T, Verizon, Sprint and TMobile as well as Alltel and US Cellular.

If there is a need for a Repeater more powerful than room size coverage, please see the Wilson 801245 SOHO Dual Band Kit under our ‘Small Building‘  tab or the  Wilson 801262 Dual Band DB Pro under our ‘Large Building‘ tab.

Wilson 801262 DualBand DB PRO – New Dual Band Repeater Announced!

Friday, March 13th, 2009

Big news from our friends over at WilsonElectronics.com. They have developed a new dual band kit, a high powered version of the SignalBoost DT. At 60-65dB, this is by far the most powerful Wilson dual band amplifier to date, and with internal/external antennas it can give up to 5,000 sq ft of wireless coverage. The amplifier and kit are scheduled for release by the end of March 2009.

Kit options
Unlike the original SignalBoost DT, the DT PRO will be available either as an individual amplifier, or as a packaged kit. Having the amplifier sold individually allows a great deal of flexibility – allowing customers to use existing antennas/cable, or choose from the wide range of Wilson antennas.
Wilson 801262 SignalBoost PRO DT – Amplifier Only
Wilson 841262 SignalBoost PRO DT Kit – This will be a full repeater kit, with both internal and external antennas, and the coaxial cable needed. Details of the exact antennas used are still being finalized – check back later!

Amplifier Details:
With 60-65dB of power it is the strongest dual band repeater on our site. The amplifier also has 33/34 dBm of output power, the highest of any of our amplifiers, providing more power to cover more networks and users.
There will be two versions of the Wilson 801262. The 271247-75 will have 75 ohm of impedance on both the internal and external antennas. The 271247-50 will have 75 ohm of impedance on the external antenna, and 50 ohm on the internal antenna. The 801262 continues Wilson’s trend of moving towards 75 ohm on their building amplifiers, allowing customers to use standard satellite coaxial, which is both low-loss and inexpensive. The difference in impedances on the internal antenna will allow customers to use existing Wilson antennas (which are 50 ohm), or use a new antenna with satellite coaxial (75 ohm). Wilson will be releasing a number of 75 ohm antennas to go with this new system.

Update: Wilson SignalBoost DT 801247 now available!

Wednesday, December 19th, 2007

We had been told that the Wilson SignalBoost would not be available until December 21st, however we have already received a shipment of the SignalBoost DT and orders are being processed immediately. We previously wrote about the highly-anticipated SignalBoost DT, a product considered to be Wilson’s response to the Wi-Ex zBoost YX510.

To order or find out more, visit our Wilson SignalBoost DT (801247) product page.

Wilson SignalBoost DT delayed until December 21st

Saturday, December 15th, 2007

Wilson had originally informed us that their new SignalBoost DT product would be available December 15th, but this has now been revised to December 21st. The release of the sleek new desktop repeater kit has been highly anticipated as it positions Wilson to compete directly with the Wi-Ex zBoost products, particularly the zBoost YX-510, which has dominated the budget repeater market.

We hope to have a unit in our hands for testing as soon as possible. You’ll find our preliminary thoughts and a full product review (once it’s available) on our Wilson Signalboost DT review page.

You will be able to star pre-ordering at the Wilson SignalBoost DT product page as soon as we have confirmation from Wilson as to what quantity will be included in our first shipment.

Update: It turns out that the delay was cancelled. We now have the Wilson SignalBoost DT available for immediate shipping.

Wilson 801247 Signalboost Desktop DT Coming Soon!

Wilson 801247 Signalboost Desktop

Wilson Electronics recently announced the 801247 Signalboost Desktop DT, a new dual-band repeater kit called that competes directly with other low-priced dual-band kits such as the zBoost YX-510 and Digital Antenna DA4KSBR-50U.

The new 801247 Signalboost Desktop DT is a complete kit that includes a 50dB dual-band amplifier very similar in specifications to the Wilson 801245 SOHO Desktop. This Signalboost DT is available as a complete kit with a 5dB gain cradle antenna (for a total of 55dB of system gain) and 50 feet of 75-ohm RG6 cabling. This is the first Wilson product to use 75-ohm cabling, and the switch means that the system can be easily extended with RG-6 cables available at any electronics retailer. The 801247 is also the first complete wireless kit sold by Wilson – a departure from their usual model of selling kit components separately.

As the first complete dual band in-door kit manufactured by Wilson, we expect this to be a very popular product. There is no word on pricing as of yet, but you can find all the details and availability information on our store’s product page: Wilson 801247 Signalboost Desktop DT.
