Product Overview
The YX012 grounding kit allows all Wi-Ex external antennas to be grounded, protecting your Wi-Ex amp in the event of a nearby lightening strike or power short. The antenna ground provides a path to discharge the electrical surge to a safe discharge point. Also grounding the antenna will drain off signal noise resulting in a cleaner signal.
The YX012 can be used with either the standard Wi-Ex omni-directional antenna or the YX-029 Antenna Upgrade.
The YX012 can be grounded in 3 possible ways:
- Ground strap - 1' universal ground strap.
- Ground clamp - Clamp to cold water pipes.
- Meter pan ground - Hooks to water meter pan.
