The zBoost YX500-PCS signal booster kit is an active amplifier for the 1900 MHz cellular band. Everything necessary to improve the cellular signal in an area up to 2,500 sq ft. is included. There is an external directional antenna that should be installed outside your home or office, which is used to communicate with the cell phone tower. Then, the signal booster part amplifies the signal and rebroadcasts the improved cell signal throughout the area in which it is installed. This kit is designed for easy installation with no experience required.

I purchased the ZBoost YX500-PCS signal booster to improve reception for my Sprint PCS phone service and for my data card. The repeater kit was quite easy to install, and the reception is much better. However, the 2,500 square feet advertised is only for open space, the effective coverage area in my home is much less than that.
