The new YX230 in-car repeater kit is an upgrade to the hugely popular YX200 repeater
Included in this kit is:
- zBoost YX230 bidirectional amplifier
- 12V cigarette power adapter
- External magnetic mount antenna with 15ft cable
- Internal patch antenna with 15ft cable
- Installation manual
The amplifier in this kit is the Wi-Ex zBoost YX230. This amplifier allows you to improve your cellular signal wirelessly, extending the range from the nearest cell tower up to 10 times. The amplifier is dual band, working on both the 800MHz and 1900MHz frequencies. It can therefore be used with all US carriers (inc. AT&T, Sprint, Verizon, T-mobile etc) except Nextel.
The external antenna included in this kit is an external magnetic mount antenna. The antenna is designed to mount easily on the metal roof of your car/RV, and a cable passed inside through the trunk or door seal. The amplifier then sites under the driver/passenger seat and connects to a small internal patch antenna, which fixes to the side of the drivers seat. The amplifier is powered through your cigarette lighter socket with the aid of the supplied power adapter.
