Product Overview
The zBoost zP YX-300 Wireless Repeater Kit is the most affordable wireless kit currently available on the market. It can be used to amplify cell phone signals to improve coverage for one room, with improved signalup to 6 feet away from the unit. This functionality makes it perfect for use in a home office, college dorm, or any situation where only a small coverage is needed. This unit is dual band and supports all networks (except Nextel), and will improve both voice and 3G data signal.
The zBoost zP communicates with the cell phone tower from a small window-mount antenna which should be installed in a location with at least 1 bar of signal. This antenna is connected to the amplifier unit by a 20 foot cable. In order for the system to work well, you need to have at least 1 bar of signal at a window or within 20 feet of the indoor unit.
Wi-Ex also plan to release a "direct connect" version of the zP in 1-2 months:
