Buying Guide

Amplifiers

The dual band SOHO will cover all US networks (voice and 3G data) except Nextel. For Nextel use one of the dedicated iDEN/Nextel repeaters. Alternatively you can check your network on this page, to see if you can use a single band repeater instead.

External Antenna

With the SOHO we recommend the 304411 yagi antenna, which is the most powerful antenna, but needs to be pointed toward the nearest cell tower. If you are receiving multiple networks from different cell towers, then use the 301201 building antenna.

For the 800MHz/Nextel amplifiers then use 301129 antenna. For the 1900MHz amplifier use the 301124 antenna.

If you are using the kit in a vehicle, boat, or RV use one of the mobile antennas.

Internal Antenna

The two main options are the 301121 dome antenna and the 301135 panel antenna. The dome antenna installs on the ceiling in the middle of where you want to boost signal. The panel antenna mounts to a wall, and boosts signal in the area in front of it. If you want a dome antenna with the 800MHz or Nextel amplifiers, then use the 301123, which is more powerful than the 301121.

Coaxial Cable

Coaxial cable is required to connect the parts together. Cable causes the kit to lost signal, so only use lengths that you need. The cable comes in white and black colors.

Accessories

Pole mount: All antennas mount to a pole (except the mobile ones). If you do not have a pole the pole mount allows you to attach to a flat wall or fascia.

Add-on antenna kit: The indoor antennas only cover a single floor. If you have 2 floors to cover then use the add-on antenna kit. For 3+ floors please contact us.

Pre-amplifier kit: The pre-amplifier kit will boost the signal area by around 50%. Use if you have a large area to cover, or very weak incoming signal.
