Buyer Guide
Outdoor Antenna
Here you have three options.
The multi-band yagi antenna (#304411) is easier to install. It is a single antenna, which is directional and so should be pointed toward the area of strongest signal. It is a single antenna, and so can only receive signal from a single tower. It is suitable only if you are boosting one network, or multiple networks from the same direction.
The 2 single band yagi antennas will give you better performance (#301129, #301124, and combiner). Each antenna can be aligned separately, increase performance and covering multiple towers.
The 301202 is an omni-directional antenna. It's less powerful than the other options, but it receives signal from all directions. This means it is very easy to setup, and can cover many cell towers in different locations. Ideal if you have to cover signal coming from 3 or more towers.
Indoor Antenna
Here you have two options. Both antennas have the same coverage area.
The ceiling mount dome antenna (#301121) mounts to the ceiling, and emits signal in all directions. It should therefore be placed in the center of the area you need to cover.
The wall mount panel antenna (#301135) mounts to the wall, and emits signal in the direction in front of the antenna. It should therefore be placed to one side of the area you need to cover.
Coaxial Cable
Coaxial cable attenuates the signal, so you should use as little as possible to complete your kit. One length of cable goes between the outdoor antenna(s) and the amplifier, the other between the amplifier and indoor antenna. It comes in both white and black.
Optional: Add-on Antenna
The standard kit includes on internal antenna, which will cover one specific area. If you have two separate areas to cover, or two separate floors, then you can split the signal over two internal antennas. The kit includes a signal splitter, you can then choose the antenna you would like and the extra cable you need.
Optional: Surge Protector
Protect your amplifier against electrical storms with this surge protector (#859902). It connects in between the outdoor antenna and amplifier, and has a gas element breaks the signal in the event of an electric strike. It will connect to the cable you have chosen above, and will need an extra cable length to complete the kit. Replacement gas elements are provided free of charge.
