Excellent packaging, super quick shipping, simple to install. Antennas 50 feet apart. Outside antenna on roof, inside antenna ceiling mounted in living room. Somewhat disappointed in the "coverage area". Anything beyond 8 feet from the inside antenna results in the same signal as before the kit which is one elusive bar or no service. At the 8 foot distance, 2 fairly reliable bars. The closer to the inside antenna, the more bars. Within 3 feet, full service. At least there is a "hotspot" and coverage INSIDE the house, going outside to use my cell was getting old, so overall it was worth it. Thanks Repeaterstore, your people were a pleasure to deal with. The Wilson SOHO amplifier is my first repeater system. I chose the SOHO repeater because I was recommended Wilson amplifiers by my friend who has worked with amplifiers and antennas for thirty years. Wilson are the longest serving amplifier manufacturers. The Wilson SOHO has performed well for me. My signal has gone from 1 bar to full reception in my living room, where the SOHO repeater is installed. Next door in the kitchen, the improvement is not quite as great, but the SOHO amplifier allows me to reliably make calls here, which is all I need it to do.
My Sierra wireless card has also seen improvements form the Wilson SOHO repeater. Not only is the reception improved enough to use all over the house and out in the garden, but the SOHO repeater has improved the download speed. Importantly, it is less likely to drop the connection, which will reset a download if you are in the middle of say, opening a large email attachment. This is usually very frustrating, but the situation is much improved with the Wilson SOHO. I would recommend the Wilson SOHO Amplifier to any and everyone.
I have seen good improvements in my cingular signal from the Wilson SOHO amplifier. It was easy to install and the build quality looks very high - Wilson have clearly made an effort to make the SOHO Amplifier a quality device without dressing it up in fancy packaging.
I have installed the Wilson SOHO in the office my company shares. There are eleven people in a pretty condensed setting approximately 1,500 sq ft. and boy are we impressed. Since installing the Wilson SOHO our cell reception has taken a massive boost. The Wilson SOHO Repeater, I understand, is different in that it is dual band and so all of our employees, even with different networks, have all seen significant improvements. Verizon, Sprint and T-mobile in particular were all unreliable in our office as we are situated in a densely built up part of town and I think the signal could not get through. These three networks are all flawless now, thanks to the Wilson SOHO. We even get a bit of signal in our kitchenette, which was a complete dead spot previously. The Wilson SOHO Repeater is going to have a real effect on the productivity of our business as it is important to always be readily available via cell phone. Next, I am getting a SOHO repeater for my home.
