What benefits can additional accessories e.g. yagi antennae bring to my repeater?

Yagi Antennas. Yagi antennas are the most sensitive antennas available. They will allow you to get the most out of your cellular amplifier system by picking up signals that other (non-yagi) antennas would fail to recognize. Yagis are highly directional antennas, so they must be pointed accurately at the source of the signal, but this allows them to bring a higher gain to the cellular amplifier system than other types of antennas.

Use a Yagi Antenna in your cellular amplifier system if other antennas are not sensitive enough to pick up the cell signal (e.g. if you are two far away from the signal source or the signal has been attenuated to too small a value), or, if you want to improve the gain of your amplifier system (e.g. it may be set up and working with a different antenna, but using a Yagi will increase the system gain resulting in improved cellular reception.)

Coax Extension Cables. Coaxial Cables are used to connect up the major components of a cellular amplifier system: Inside Antenna - Amplifier Unit - Outside Antenna. They are designed so as to minimize the attenuation of a cell phone amplifier system, but also provide the required minimum separation of the inside and outside antennas. This is to prevent feedback processed known as 'Oscillation' which will prevent a cell phone amplifier system from functioning.

Additional coax extension cables (i.e. more than minimum requirements) are simply for physical reasons. They can for example ensure that you have enough cable length to enable you antenna to reach the roof of your building. We always, however, recommend the minimum amount of cable required is used in a cellular amplifier system as, although the cables we provide are low-loss, they do lead to attenuation of the signal strength.

Connector Adapters. Adapters are simply to ensure that all the components of a cellular amplifier system will connect correctly with each other. In general, for our pre-assembled repeater 'kits' no adapters are required. Occasionally, a customer may want to mix and match equipment from different manufacturers to suit a particular situation, and in this case, various cable adapters may be required.

AC Power adapters. These are useful for some of our products such as the SignalBoost come with an in car charger, but this amp can also be used in a home or office, so an AC power supply is desirable.
