The 301103 antenna from Wilson is a dual band magnetic mount cell phone antenna. This is an external antenna and therefore receives cell phone signal from the nearest cellular tower and this will then be fed on through the included coaxial cable. This can then be attached to your cell phone (you will need an adapter to do this - see below) or to a cellular amplifier, which will then boost the signal and rebroadcast it. Either way, the result will be better cell phone reception - but using an active amplifier will have a stronger effect then connecting straight to your cell phone.

It is easily portable and quickly installed so can be transported as part of a portable cell phone amplifier system. It can, for example, be placed on the roof of your vehicle as part a cellular amplification system. The rare earth magnet will ensure that this is simple and secure. It is necessary to install the antenna on an 8'' diameter metal ground plane but this can be, for example, the roof of your vehicle. The antenna is dual band and is thus suitable for use with cell phone amplifiers which operate on 800 Mhz, 1900 Mhz and iDEN frequencies.
