The WilsonPro 4000R: Wilson announces first rack-mounted booster unit

WilsonPro have just announced the latest arrival in their powerful commercial booster range. The WilsonPro 4000R is the industry's first rack-mounted booster, and it's an exciting development for several reasons.

WilsonPro 4000R rack-mounted signal booster unit

It's their most powerful booster yet. The rack-mounted unit actually contains four separate amplifiers, that feed four indoor antennas. It takes full advantage of the new FCC regulations increasing gain limits, which means up to 12dB more downlink power, allowing for stronger signal where the incoming signal is weak. It has the highest permitted uplink power, which allows for a stronger signal transmitted to the cell tower, giving greater user capacity and increased range. In strong signal areas (like cities or locations near cell towers) the 4000R has a lower overload and shutdown threshold. This allows the booster to work with a stronger incoming signal, up to +10dB stronger, before overloading and shutting down.

It has the Automatic Gain Control of previous WilsonPro boosters, as well as new onboard software that independently and automatically controls each antenna path. Gain can be adjusted up or down for each, without disrupting coverage from any other antenna.

It will also be very installation-friendly. The 4000R should slot right in to a server rack, allowing for easy access. The unit is easy to control, with a color LCD screen with four-way navigation.

And the result of all this extra power? The WilsonPro 4000R will offer coverage up to 100,000 sq ft. This is a really exciting new unit, suitable for lots of large installations in buildings like hospitals, schools, warehouses, factories, commercial retail, apartments, hotels, and offices. We anticipate it being a really popular choice.

The WilsonPro 4000R will be available July 2016.
