The new SureCall Fusion5X 2.0 is a powerful signal booster system for large residences and mid-sized buildings. It boosts voice and data, including 4G LTE, on all US and Canadian cell networks.
The Fusion5X 2.0 is the second generation of SureCall’s popular Fusion5X signal booster kits. The Fusion5X 2.0 offers increased downlink power, meaning that where outside signal strength is strong, the 2.0 is able to provide a larger coverage area. New “SureCall IQ” technology also means that the Fusion 5X 2.0 will not overpower or shut down in areas of strong existing outdoor signal.
The Fusion5X 2.0 also keeps all the benefits of the original Fusion5X. The unit does not have attenuation knobs. Instead of requiring installers to adjust gain manually, sophisticated internal software automatically and continuously optimizes gain ensuring the Fusion5X 2.0 is always operating at peak performance.
The Fusion5X 2.0 comes with several antenna options, explained in detail below. The outside antenna is a choice of either a yagi directional antenna or an omnidirectional antenna. There is also a choice of one or four indoor antennas (either panel or dome). The kit also includes a 4-way splitter and all the required cabling. The four indoor antenna option means that installation can easily be configured to suit large and/or complex building layouts, ensuring optimum booster coverage.
The Fusion5X 2.0 is ideally placed between SureCall’s Fusion5s (which covers up to 6,000 sq ft and is an excellent choice for home owners) and the SureCall Force5 2.0 (which covers up to 50,000 sq ft and is a great commercial grade solution).

Outdoor Antenna Options
The Fusion5X 2.0 kit comes with a choice of two outside antennas:
The SC-288W Omni Outdoor Antenna has 4dB gain.
Omni antennas receive and send signals in a 360º radius. They can receive signals from multiple cell towers and are best for boosting signal on many different carriers. They are excellent in most situations where the existing outside signal strength is moderate to strong. If the outside signal is weaker than that, you may need the directional yagi antenna instead. We have a guide to testing your outside signal strength.
The SC-230W Yagi Outdoor Antenna has an average 10 dB of gain across all wireless frequencies (Voice/3G/4G/AWS/WLAN). It is a directional antenna that can reach cell towers up to 30 miles away. It needs to be set up pointing in the direction of the cell tower, and because it is directional it will only pick up signal in that direction. We recommend it for situations where existing outside signal is weak, and you only want to boost coverage for one carrier (or if more than one carrier has a cell tower in one direction). If you need to boost signal coming from different directions, it is possible to set up more than one yagi antenna. Contact us for more help with this.
Indoor Antenna Options
The SureCall Fusion 5X 2.0 kit comes with a choice of either 1 or 4 inside antennas. The four-antenna options also include the required 4-way splitter and cabling.
The one-antenna options is a great choice if you only need to boost signal in one area. If you need coverage across multiple floors, you'll want the four-antenna option. Four antennas gives customers the flexibility to customize installations to meet a variety of needs in commercial buildings and large homes. Depending on the building layout, there is a choice of dome antennas or panel antennas:
The SC-222W Omni Dome Antenna is a multi-band omni-directional plastic dome antenna which gathers signals from all sides. It has 6dB gain and is designed for central locations with 360º coverage. The range of the antenna is dependent on three factors: 1) physical obstructions, 2) power generated by the booster and 3) reception from outside signal received and distributed by the outside antenna. Besides the antenna itself, parts include mounting equipment. It needs to be mounted to the ceiling for best results and you will need to run a cable to the back of the ceiling.
The SC-248W Panel Antenna is a directional antenna with up to 10dB gain. Panel antennas allow optimum reception to targeted areas. It can be mounted to the wall.
Lightning Surge Protector
We recommend using a lightning surge protector in most cases, but particularly if you'll be installing the kit in an area with frequent lightning. The surge protector should be installed in line with the cable and near the amplifier, and should be properly grounded.
